Letter #2 - In which history is curved and we’re all executives.
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes.”
–Probably not Mark Twain
I know, I know, it’s supposed to be Mark Twain who said this, but Quote Investigator’s research begs to differ. Still, a great quote.
Willoughby - Frankenstein
Very very underrated song, imo. So melancholic. Now that I think of it, it kinda sorta reminds me of White Town’s I could never be your woman, in spirit more than in meaning.
Grown up stuff :). The good thing is that you don’t need to be an exec for this to make sense to you, you just need to want to learn things. The people at McKinsey put together a bird’s eye overview of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, their major types and business use cases. Read this to get an idea of how everything fits together, plus a cool timeline that shows how advancements in algorithms, data and hardware lead to the AI spring that we’re enjoying right now.
